A Pawsitive Approach specializes in using balanced training methods to teach dogs and their humans the necessary skills and techniques that will enable them to confidently navigate their world. There is no one size fits all approach to training, whether you are looking to teach a new puppy the basics or you are struggling with reactivity, every dog is assessed and a unique training program is created for them. We will figure out what drives and motivates your dog and use those things to communicate more effectively, build confidence, strengthen relationships, improve emotional responses, and ultimately change behavior. When you train with A Pawsitive Approach you will learn how your dog’s mind works, which can open doors you never thought possible. With this knowledge, not only will you be able to achieve your goals, you will cultivate a bond that will last a lifetime. 

This service is for the advanced dog and combines physical exercise, mental stimulation, enrichment, and continuing education. Most dogs who complete a training program with me will be capable of the service. If you have not gone through training with me but believe your dog would be a good fit, I would be happy to set up a trial to test their skills. All dogs that attend the pack walks must have reliable recall, good leash walking skills, an understanding of basic commands, and a good temperament around other dogs and people.
